Farewell
What was originally temporary has become permanent. I've found I haven't really missed the game the past few weeks, and logging back in sounds more like work than fun. I've been pretty frustrated with what's happened with the guild since Icecrown opened, and the thought of finding a new guild or pugging raids just isn't appealing right now. So I'm letting my account expire tonight. I suspect that if I ever come back to the game I'll find a nice quiet PvE server to hang out on.
Thanks for all of the good times the past 2.5 years. Hoax has been the only raiding guild I've ever known, and I appreciate that you've kept me around as a one-night-a-week player for as long as you have. Best of luck to everyone with everything.
It saddens me to see you go G, but i understand. Many of us are very frustrated at how WoW and Hoax seem to be having a parting of the ways. I can say, however, that the majority of this is not restricted to Hoax. WoW in general appears to be having a dearth of good players and raids are near at a standstill for most guilds. In all likelihood Cataclysm will change this, but that is a long way off. Hopefully summer may bring some people back to the game but we will have to see.
Please don't be a stranger. I hope Aud will leave you forum access and you can occasionally drop by and say howdy =). Keep vent up on your PC as well.
Be well my Friend. My best to your wife and Erin.

Hate to hear it, but it isn't hoax.....it is game wide, Top gear for badges = why raid with 25 other people.
Good luck overg. I think you and I joined Hoax around the same time, back when we still had trouble with Gruul
mmo's require too much time to "keep up". I haven't read all the upcoming changes in cata, and I do know wow has gotten a lot better over the years(remember MC trash and farming felwood for whipper root tubers for hours and hours).
I do hope hoax sticks around and knowing myself, I will probably pick up the expansion and play for a while. I'm hoping to see some or all of you around when that happens.
